I use Meta Business Suite to boost Instagram posts to a wider audience and drive sales.
  • Reaches a greater audience
  • In my opinion, account setup is disastrously difficult
  • I find the interface is buggy, clunky, unintuitive, and nearly impossible to use
  • I feel like support is non-existent
  • It feels like half of the features are broken
  • I believe the mobile version is so poorly designed, that it is completely unusable
  • In my experience, account recovery is half broken with instantly expired text codes, 90% of which never arrive
  • I feel like many features missing or inaccessible
In my opinion, it has the worst interface I've ever had the misfortune of having to use in years. It feels almost impossible to set the account up to start with, and in my experience, once you're in, pretty much nothing works as the features are almost all broken, the help files are useless, and support is non-existent.

We use Facebook business in conjunction with our main webpage. It has largely helpful in reaching a broader audience. It’s used across the organization and it was been an excellent tool for advertising, collecting fundraising and sending notices to followers. Much of our support Telus on networking which it does very well.
  • Online auctions
  • Networking
  • Sending important notices to followers
  • It’s free!
  • Should advertise how to make it useful for non-profits.
  • Allow updates from website.
  • Easier to communicate with website.
We modified one of our fundraisers to be hosted through Facebook which went way better than we all thought. I think it was because of the audience we were trying to reach and most everyone used Facebook to stay connected and share the news. We ended up raising about the same amount with nearly a fraction of the prep work

We're pretty active on Facebook through both organic posting and social ads. We use Facebook for Business for both. Facebook's newer tool for businesses, Creator Studio, is so helpful for organic posting. We use it for Facebook and Instagram. It's great for scheduling posts, posting IGTVs, etc. We also use Facebook's A/B testing tools, to create mock up of ads, etc.
  • Creator Studio is a great tool for scheduling and tracking analytics
  • Helpful when you manage multiple accounts
  • Targeting to a specific audience
  • It's always changing - can be hard to keep up with everything
  • Ad Manager is decently confusing
  • It's not always clear why ads aren't approved
Facebook for Business is necessary if your business has a Facebook or Instagram page -- so almost always. To effectively market on either, you need to use Facebook for Business. It makes organizing your content easy, plus it has great insights to see how you can improve your marketing. Facebook for Business is also great at promoting specific events.

Facebook is less helpful for B2B companies.

Facebook for Business is used by me both as a tool for my own company to advertise (both on Facebook and Instagram) and as a tool for customers and clients. Access and usage of it also allow me to push third-party vendors to use the tool on my behalf in more powerful ways. It is the tool that executes paid social. It's a must — best tool among the social platforms.
  • Paid social delivery on Facebook
  • Paid social delivery on Instagram
  • Many options, serving many masters, so somewhat challenging UX
  • Ever-changing capabilities means ever-changing system
Organic social is only so powerful. If you want to get your messages seen beyond people who follow you or even beyond just the 10 percent of those who do that, the algorithms allow seeing your postings, you need to use this tool. It's also great when audience data sharing is involved.

We use Facebook for Business to manage our 100+ locations across the country and to manage our advertising campaigns through Facebook. The Stores feature it easy to add new and maintain the accuracy of the data for each of our locations through one central admin tool. Before, we had standalone pages for each location, and managing them was a nightmare.
  • Easy to manage multiple locations
  • Robust feature set
  • The admin area is overhauled too frequently and forces users to relearn how to do things continually.
  • Support provided isn't great and requires a lot of re-explaining.
The interface feels overly complicated for what it does. Facebook for Business constantly changes the interface; it makes it difficult to use video tutorials as a guide because the videos are quickly outdated. We find that Facebook for Business helps us manage our ads and keeping our 100+ location Pages up to date.

I use Facebook for Business to market my digital marketing company. I also use it to market my clients' local businesses. It makes it super easy to keep every Facebook ad in one place. The user interface is very easy to use and it is relatively easy to teach other people how to use the software and run their own ads.
  • Allows all ads to be shown in one location.
  • Allows you to select the exact demographics.
  • The interface can use an update.
  • The training for it can be confusing.
I like its ability to target multiple different demographics at the touch of a few buttons, while putting different types of creative ads in front of different people to gauge what the audience likes. I also liked the ability to edit the ads as they were in play, which meant you could assess how changes were received more quickly than having to wait for feedback through other measures.

As an advertising agency, we use it for purchasing Facebook & Instagram ads on behalf of our clients. KPI's currently include awareness, purchases (conversions) and driving site traffic. Additionally, we've been experimenting with the new attribution system as well as targeting using first party data pushed from LiveRamp. Overall, I'd describe us as an "average" business user.
  • Audience retargeting - Great for retargeting fans of pages or audiences collected via pixel.
  • Reporting - Lots of options & granularity.
  • Constant updates and interface changes constantly hamstring productivity.
  • Documentation, while thorough, can be quite confusing and/or overwhelming.
Facebook is great if you want to capture the "Facebook" audience. If you're targeting the older demos, Facebook should be your platform of choice. We use it a lot for targeting moms, specifically for some conversion-based campaigns with tremendous amounts of success. I find it's great for general awareness campaigns and driving traffic as well. I also would recommend if you're only going to focus on one platform since it has reach and is mostly self-contained.

I rely on Facebook for Business not only for my business but for the management of my clients’ businesses.
If you have a business, you need Facebook for Business/Business Manager. Having one central location where you can run ads, manage users, and view insights is necessary. Also, the integration with Instagram can easily be achieved through Facebook for Business.
  • Insights on your audience and how they interact with your page.
  • Tracking call-to-action (shop now, learn more, send a message, etc.) and efficiently promote the CTA.
  • Better integration with apps and tab customizations should be improved.
  • Organic targeting has changed over the years and would be beneficial if that feature could be improved.
If you have a business presence online, Facebook for Business is well-suited. I can’t think of an instance where you wouldn’t use this platform. If you are starting out in business and gearing up, you need to take advantage of marketing your business on Facebook and reaching your audience.

The Facebook for Business platform allows our organization to increase brand awareness via paid traffic & hyper-granular targeting settings at the ad-set level. The direct response objectives provided by the Facebook & Instagram platforms also equip our organization to offer lead generation services in both B2C and B2B contexts within the Insurance industry across the United States. There is only one department, production, that utilizes the back-end Business Manager aspect of the platform to manage ad accounts for our clients.
  • Facebook for Business - Hyper Granular Audience Targeting Settings
  • Audience Building for Retargeting
  • Virtual Absence of Facebook Support Representatives
  • Ever-Changing Compliance Policies
Facebook for Business is best suited for clients with a larger monthly ad spend budget, greater than $1,000/mo, and more specifically, ideal for businesses with a long-term vision for their online presence. The use of Facebook for Business allows advertisers to implement extraordinarily creative audience targets, as well as distribute compelling creative assets across a given market and industry and is likely to perform best with several distinct campaign objectives actively delivering ads simultaneously.

Facebook for Business is not ideal for businesses with the need to prove an ROI in the short-term or for those businesses with a constrained ad spend budget. The qualification of traffic and development of proper audience targeting is a process that requires time, data collection, regular analysis, ongoing maintenance, and creative testing throughout a given campaign.

As part of the marketing team, I use Facebook business manager to advertise our products on social media. This helps drive ecommerce revenue and spread the word about our brand.
  • Reach new customers.
  • Reach lots of customers.
  • Setting up some of the more complicated features, pertaining to pixel and catalog and product feed can be extremely finicky and require tech savvy management.
  • Changes to the interface and new features occur constantly and it's hard to keep up..
It is perfect for promoting an ecommerce business. Less perfect for brick and mortar.

I'm a small business owner in a rural area. My clients, business owners, want to have a Facebook page and run ads. This is one of the services I offer. I create and manage their Facebook pages and use Facebook for Business to help me mangers these pages and run advertisements on Facebook.
  • Advertising.
  • Statistics.
  • Event management.
  • Better tutorials.
  • Help section is very lacking.
  • More features for digital sellers.
  • Selling product manager.
I have used Facebook Business for years however I have not used Facebook as much in the past few years. Most of my clients want to sell digital goods such as music files and other downloadable creations and Facebook is more for people selling physical goods that can be shipped. If someone wanted to advertise and sell physical good then I would recommend Facebook. Mostly, I use Facebook Business to run event ads or website ads. I use Facebook business for their statistics.

We currently use Facebook Business to distribute content organically and in paid ads. It is among many of the tools we use.
I have used it for years in other aspects, mainly for lead generation, direct sales, and customer support. My knowledge is more extensive in those departments, having had the results of years to base my actions on.
  • Facebook is a very popular and trusted network, so unless we post content that looks suspect, people will be open to click on it.
  • The basic interface is very simple, if you want to try your hand at online marketing, it is a good starting tool.
  • If you want to delve deeper into the data, you can dig it out, export, and play around.
  • Immense numbers of social media experts have published free materials on how to get the most out of Facebook for Business. You can get started for nearly free and see results in days.
  • The recent changes to admin roles and the structure of pages and accounts has caused some problems - since roles are set in stone for some parts, we had issues in transfering roles.
  • I find that my monitor is never big enough to see all the data I want to see, and I sometimes get lost within the drop-downs and all the options. This is good and bad at the same time.
  • There are bugs with displaying link previews, at least with Wordpress ran sites.
If you use Facebook professionally at all, it is invaluable to have it work without personal messages, your news feed popping up randomly, or notifications from a secret group that is secret for good reason!
I had suffered for a long time before I started using Facebook for Business from the above reasons alone.
The actual features and functions behind the service, the ads, the audiences, and all the wonderful data to tailor your offers are worth even more praise.

We use Facebook for Business to market to audiences for our specialized education products. Facebook for Business allows us to reach people on the Facebook platform, as well as Instagram, Messenger, and Whatsapp. It allows us a secondary paid channel for leads and helps us reach users who we would not reach using paid search marketing alone.
  • Frankly, Facebook for Business brings us leads. They are not always the best and most qualified leads, but we are able to get them inexpensively.
  • Facebook for Business provides information on our audiences.
  • We are able to create lookalike audiences from our customer lists to help us find like candidates.
  • We are also able to create lookalike audiences from our website traffic, to further allow us to connect to similar candidates.
  • We are able to connect to an API and download results information for analysis.
  • While Facebook for Business provides lots of data and information, we have seen anomalies that make us question the validity of this performance information.
  • We are presented with controls to determine where our ads are placed, but sometimes they are changed without our knowledge. For instance, when Facebook Messenger became a place to advertise, we were advertising there without our knowledge before we were provided the option to turn it off.
  • Facebook has a tendency to make changes and inform it's users after the fact, instead of explaining upcoming feature or layout changes.
  • Sometimes the interface can be confusing when determining if a change has been published or not, resulting in times where changes were thought to have been made, but instead, it just sat in draft status.
  • Very often, we find our ads disproved due to reasons that do not apply to our ads. When we request a further review, they are then approved. But, until we request the review, our ads are not running, and there is no telling when these disapprovals will occur.
The fact is that Facebook is still the largest social network and the place to reach the masses when advertising. This is despite the lackluster ad platform that exists. If there were a similar competitor to Facebook, we would likely use their platform more often than Facebook's, assuming the competitor didn't have the questionable performance numbers, frustrating interface, and buggy algorithms.
If you are marketing on social media, it is a reluctant must, but if you don't need the additional display advertising, then look to Google, Bing, or other marketing partners.

We use Facebook for Business in our branding efforts and for our retail store's sales campaigns. It is currently controlled by our marketing department. We use it to promote marketing campaigns, inform customers of notable news concerning our company, and also post feel-good messages that highlight product but don't "sell" anything.
  • Great for reaching targeted audiences. You can cater campaigns to specific audiences which is a great way to save money on campaigns if you're smart about it.
  • Boosts SEO and web traffic.
  • Nice dash that lets you measure success and make changes to strategy if needed.
  • Trying to keep up with all the algorithm changes can be exhausting. It's almost a full-time job trying to "crack" the code.
  • Engagement has been on a downward trend for the last couple of years. It's getting harder to get customers to react to sponsored ads.
  • Scams are huge right now and if your name is not well-known people can be wary of trusting the source, even if it was found on Facebook.
  • It's getting increasingly more expensive to reach the same audience.
The ROI may not be worth it for some small businesses. Cost of conversion through this means of advertising can get pricey. Facebook for Business seems better suited to large companies or recognizable brands. If your trying to work your way up Google rankings, Facebook for Business might be a good way to help with those efforts. Increased visibility, engagement, and fresh content are all winners for increasing your search rank. If your customers don't use Facebook, don't waste your money there. For example, I just can't see myself engaging in a funeral home ad or with a bail bondsman.

Facebook for Business is used by a social media team under editorial division. My organization is a media platform that has tried to go digital in the past three years. We have a really strong brand as a newspaper but lack of awareness to transition into online media. With Facebook for Business, we are mainly reaching out to our potential readers and attempting to increase awareness of our online existence.
  • Delivering news to existing readers: Facebook remains the biggest source for social media according to our Google Analytics. We have significant loyal readers on our Facebook page, which we manage with Facebook for Business.
  • Reaching out new reader base: We are growing as an online media platform and now have significantly more content compared to our newspaper. If our print readers are mainly businesspeople with more mature age, with Facebook for Business we can reach new and younger readers through ads.
  • Promoting the right content to the right people: As stated above, we have a lot of contents that are varying in its nature. We understand that every reader has their own preference, and Facebook for Business helps us target the right readers.
  • The ads management can be difficult to understand at first glance. It's also heavy to load, a big problem in Indonesia where the internet connection is among the slowest in the Asian Pacific.
  • Lack of transparency over ads pricing. There is no specific guideline as to what kind of contents or target audience will be more expensive and vice versa. We can only estimate the price through a lot of trial and error.
  • Policy on the amount of text on an image. Facebook for Business does not allow ads which contain more than 30 percent of text in an image. This is significantly counterproductive to the trend of infographics, which a lot of readers like and usually do well organically.
  • Changing algorithm. Facebook for Business always changes its algorithm in a way that pushes you to spend more money, which is understandable since their name is "business". But sometimes the changes are confusing and are not explained thoroughly.
  • Lack of transparency on how ads are reviewed. Sometimes it takes a day, which is a very long time for a news media.
It's suited for when you are growing your online presence. Everyone is on Facebook and Instagram and therefore Facebook for Business is the way to go for new business. It is also cheaper and easier to use than Google Ads. However, Facebook is having a lot of political troubles lately with its role in political polarization everywhere and mishandling of several data breaches. If your organization and business have certain stance or ethics on this, you might want to stay off from Facebook for Business.

Facebook for Business is used across multiple departments in my organization to support social media posts, interaction with students, and social media ads. The number of users fluctuates on a regular basis with users being added or removed from the account as they change roles. It allows us to provide access to those who need it without sharing passwords or giving employees full access to the organization's Facebook pages through their personal profiles.
  • Facebook for Business is great for managing comments and mentions for our page.
  • Facebook for Business allows us to create and manage our Facebook ads.
  • Facebook for Business supports multiple users and admins for our various pages and allows us to make changes fairly easily.
  • Navigating the various pages and functions of Facebook for Business is difficult unless you are using it on a regular basis.
  • Facebook for Business is really the only way that you can manage Facebook pages unless you give multiple users direct access to the page through their personal accounts.
  • It would be nice if Facebook for Business could be more easily accessed on a mobile device.
The primary reason that I would recommend Facebook for Business is that I have not found a good alternative. Given that it is created by Facebook, it allows you full functionality to manage Facebook pages and ads. Using third-party products often requires some workarounds or leaves us without the same capability.

At my company, we utilize Facebook for Business to not only help to market our company, but we also manage other businesses and clients social media accounts and use Facebook for Business. By using Facebook for Business we are able to effectively post and market content to potential clients as well as extend our reach and the reach of our clients as they expand their companies. We are also able to track our results and specifically target areas we see that need to grow or have potential to expand.
  • I love the ability to easily target specific demographics and areas and I think that Facebook Business really does this well.
  • I also really like the ability to track my results very quickly and to see them in real time.
  • Setting up an ad campaign on Facebook really couldn't be easier, and I think that the interface works very well even on mobile devices.
  • There are times when I am unable to get tabs to load in the analytics so more consistency in the realm would be nice.
  • I also think it would be great to have a suggestion engine for targeting and for how best to target certain demos.
Facebook for Business is easy enough to use that even small businesses can take advantage of it. We help small businesses get set up on Facebook for Business and we also help them to manage their marketing. Because it is so simple to maintain and track it really makes it easy both for us and for our clients to keep track of what is going on and what we are working towards.

We currently use Facebook for Business as a tool to manage our dozen different locations throughout the United States. Each of our wholesale locations and showrooms has a listing on Facebook for Business to promote their location through social media posts and allow our customers and potential customers an easy way to contact us and find out pertinent information.
  • Manage multiple listings of physical locations.
  • Run ads or promote posts for specific locations.
  • Read and respond to incoming messages.
  • Facebook for Business has somewhat of a learning curve that can be difficult.
  • It seems Facebook for Business is always iterating and changing/updating the user interface which makes it sometimes difficult to find tools.
  • It can sometimes be confusing to know which listing you are managing if you are managing multiple listings in Facebook for Business.
I think Facebook for Business is the a must use tool for any business. The reality is that the majority of your customers are on Facebook, and it can be an incredibly powerful way to connect and stay in touch with them. If a customers looks for your business on Facebook and you have your business listed, they can find out basic information like store hours, specials, etc. and also contact you with questions.

As the founder and director of 34:18 Ministries, I am the one who uses Facebook for Business. I use it to market to potential clients, manage and follow up with leads, create and connect with community, and set appointments. It addresses several business needs in one place, which I love.
  • Facebook groups
  • Sponsored posts
  • Setting appointments
  • My sponsored posts usually only get message replies from creepy guys who want to hit on me
  • The algorithms seem to keep changing, making it hard to understand how to most effectively market
  • It’s confusing to have notifications pop up on my regular Facebook app that open up the Facebook for Business app, especially when all the notifications don’t sync up with each other.
Facebook is already used by almost everyone on a personal level. Using it for my business is an easy way to connect personally to my audience.

Facebook for business is a fantastic tool that allows us to plan projects and communicate needs quickly and efficiently and immediately integrate our marketing strategies into the largest target marketing platform in the world.

Facebook for business has great guides and tutorials for getting the most use out of it, and ultimately is easy to use.
  • Facebook for Business gets communication right
  • Easy use for anyone, even people that aren't especially technologically savvy.
  • Easy integration into the larger Facebook world.
  • Making the front-end user interface look more like the home site would be a major improvement, especially when working with people who aren't technologically savvy.
  • Better guidelines for image sizes, specifically as things change.
  • Better guidelines for algorithm use.
It is a fantastic tool for communication and getting yourself out there on a low budget, but there is a lot of noise and ultimately you're bound to a particular format that may not be the best for your situation.

Take a look at all the options and see if it's right for you. I'm guessing it will be, but if you need custom functions, you'll need to look elsewhere.

We mostly use FB for Business for marketing purposes--particularly, we use the Ads Manager. The users at our company consist mostly of 2-3 of us who frequently work on marketing projects. The Ads Manager lets us set up groups and subgroups of our customers, lookalike audiences, specific regions if we're doing a physical event, etc. The rest of the Business manager clearly holds a robust feature set, but we haven't used it as much.
  • Ads Manager gives huge control over targeting specific audiences, including audiences similar to your following, but who you aren't currently reaching. FB captures so, so much data about each of their users, and you're given the ability to leverage that data to sell your product.
  • A great set of options for ad types--video, carousel, slideshow, etc.--and user-friendly process for setting up each.
  • Good feedback on how your ads are doing--a relevance score, recommendations on using another ad type in certain applications, etc.
  • This isn't technically an issue with the software, but I have certainly experienced ethical qualms regarding user privacy. I don't love the thought of exploiting millions of users' personal information to sell a product.
  • Several little-used, deprecated, or de-facto deprecated ad formats show up in the previewer for a given ad--makes the tool feel outdated and unpolished.
  • There's a bit of a learning curve with the unintuitive navigation of Campaign > Ad Set > Ad. A better tutorial would help the user hit the ground running instead of clicking through each section trying to work out the differences of each.
Facebook for Business is great for creating and distributing content that is strictly promotional. It's also great for keeping track of your followings' demographic information, as doing so on your own platform is time-consuming and leaves you open to User Privacy risks.

I don't like the way Facebook works for distributing non-promotional content. If we make an inspirational video that is soliciting no purchase whatsoever--it's simply good, free content that serves the viewer--Facebook wants our company to pay a price to get the video shown to more people. Compare this to, say, YouTube, where WE are paid for creating good content for our viewers. I strongly dislike the way Facebook for Business is built around paying FB to show your content to people, especially people who've already Liked your page and tacitly expressed "I like receiving content from this organization."

As a digital marketing agency, I manage several accounts through Facebook for Business. Not only does it hold my own company's business page and ad account, but the pages and ad accounts for several clients I represent on a daily basis. The business manager app allows me to check in on progress at a glance, as well as drilling down into each account to see metrics.
  • The business manager acts as a hub for all accounts—both business pages and ad accounts.
  • The insights feature provides a valuable look at how users interact with the page. It provides engagement stats and helps to see trends over time.
  • The most recent ad manager update leaves something to be desired. The process is a bit clunky and only seems to work in a Firefox browser.
  • It's a bit cumbersome to drill down to all the accounts managed. Rather than being able to simply select the page you want to manage, you have to click the page, then go back to the business manager, then be led to the page again. It's a fiddly process.
Unfortunately, I have to recommend Facebook for Business because it's quite literally the only option, and we all know that it's imperative for businesses to have a digital presence on the platform. However, I think a lot of updates are in order for the process to truly be user-friendly.

Facebook for business lets us reach a very specific demographic for each client's FB page. It's the biggest social platform and it offers the easiest targeted audience even with a limited budget. It's an easy platform to use, at least for the basics. The iPhone app also comes in very handy if a post / boost / ad needs to be adjusted.
  • Cost effective in reaching a targeted audience
  • Easy to use platform
  • Offers great insights - including comparisons to competitors
  • Can easily be shared with team and offers different access levels
  • Scheduling posts in advance offers an overview of coming campaigns
  • Keeps budgeting easy to track
  • The ever changing algorithms can be a challenge to keep up with
Most business can benefit from a Facebook page. It's the no 1 social platform we recommend, along with Instagram. The integration between the two works well too and ads can be shared on both networks. It offers great ROI if campaigns are targeted right.

It was developed in an effort to reach prospective customers nationally as well as globally in a much more efficient manner. I was the only person that used this platform to put our product in the spotlight to increase sales. It addressed the previous problem of having to manually compile call lists to reach out to law enforcement entities and present the benefits of the product to people with purchasing decision power. It also helped greatly by being able to post content relevant to the end user's typical use of the products through short creative posts including demo videos of the product in action.
  • You can create target audience groups based on a variety of selected profile indicators to compile robust lists of potential customers to share content with.
  • You can analyze the Facebook insights which include data analytics that reveal what posts, content, videos are working to gain attention, followers, likes and also what is not working, and also show when the best times of day are to post content according to when Facebook users typically viewed the content
  • You can create marketing campaigns including giveaways, raffles, surveys etc... to keep your audience engaged and also collect profile data.
  • You can create, publish and track ads in Facebook and decide how much to spend or see how much it would cost to reach your intended target audience lists.
  • You can also choose to not allow users posts, comments etc... without prior approval first.
  • Build a relationship with your intended target audience using engaging content that appeals to one of their primary emotions.
  • I would like to be able to break down the target audience selections even further.
  • Not being able to like user profiles can make it hard to find a particular profile again
  • Make it easier to sell right from the Facebook page itself
Appropriate: New business trying to put their services offered out there. Especially like recreational classes for children, adults, etc...Also, if there is a goal to reach out to people on national or an international level this would be the right place to start

Not appropriate: I'm having a hard time thinking about a scenario that would not be appropriate here and I am coming up short.

I use Facebook for Business as an avenue to provide value to people who are interested in beginning a career online. I post my blog posts, as well as other articles of value. I also offer courses I have created and free tools to use to help people develop their online business.
  • Facebook for Business allows me to reach an audience that is specifically interested in what I have to offer.
  • Facebook for Business allows me to market products I have created through campaigns.
  • Facebook for Business is a great platform to reach my target audience.
  • Facebook for Business uses algorithms determining how frequent your posts are see by others. I think this could be tweaked or changed a bit to give posts more exposure.
  • Other than that one point, I cannot think of anything where Facebook for Business could be improved.
Facebook for Business is very well suited for online and offline business owners in order to communicate directly with their target audience. It enables business owners an extremely easy platform to advertise products, specials, coupons, promote campaigns and to give value to customers and potential clients.
